Creating a world full of peace, justice and respect for human dignity is a very important issue, said the secretary general of the Islamic World Peace Forum (IWPF).
Commenting on the International Day of Peace (September 21) — unofficially known as World Peace Day, Davoud Ameri stressed the importance of promoting and establishing peace based on justice in the world.
He added among the main themes of the Conference on International Day of Peace — to be held in Tehran on September 25 — are conceptual clarification of the global peace and justice and identification of the harms to these two concepts with an emphasis on modern international threats.
Ameri said by constantly accusing Muslims and promoting Islamophobia, the international Zionism and certain major world powers have always done their best to sever the Muslim world’s constructive connections with other cultural arenas.
“Foiling plots to this end is what the world’s thinkers and NGOs are required to work toward.”
Ameri said permanent and just peace cannot be established by the time certain world powers and human rights organizations continue adopting partial approaches in addressing the issues of peace and security and threats posed by terrorist groups.
A coalition of elites across the world can help resolve many of the challenges faced by the humanity, he stressed.
